Health and Safety Policy Statement

At CMT Construction, we place the utmost importance on the health, safety, and welfare of our employees.

Training, Instruction and Supervision

We provide comprehensive training to all employees based on their roles and responsibilities. Supervision is a core element of our safety culture, ensuring correct practices are consistently applied.

Clear Risk Control and Communication

We identify and manage hazards through risk assessments and enforce strict safety controls where required. Employees are made fully aware of the risks and control measures associated with their tasks.

Emergency Planning and Incident Prevention

We have detailed fire prevention and emergency procedures in place at all our sites. First aid equipment and trained personnel are readily available in the event of any incident. All accidents, no matter how minor, are recorded and investigated thoroughly

Safety Leadership and Accountability

The Executive Manager holds overall responsibility for the enforcement and review of this policy. Senior Managers are accountable for implementing safety practices within their teams. A designated Safety Manager oversees compliance and addresses safety concerns on a daily basis. Lessons learned from incidents are shared to prevent recurrence. We coordinate closely with local emergency services for effective response. Health monitoring and surveillance protect long-term employee wellbeing. All levels of management are expected to lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture. Leadership teams are provided with regular updates and training to strengthen safety awareness.

Employee Roles and Responsibilities

Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures without exception.
Everyone must comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and company policies. Each team member is encouraged to speak up and report any potential hazards.

Collaborative Safety Culture

We foster a culture of openness where employees feel safe to raise safety issues. All staff are encouraged to participate in safety discussions and improvement processes. Teamwork is fundamental in maintaining high health and safety standards.

Policy Review and Continuous Improvement

This policy is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains current and effective. We monitor our safety performance through audits, inspections, and incident reports. Regulatory and legislative updates are incorporated swiftly and communicated to all staff.

Executive Leadership Oversight

Our leadership is committed to championing safety at every organisational level.

Compliance with UK Safety Legislation

All operations are conducted in accordance with UK health and safety laws.

Regular Safety Committee Meetings

Our Safety Committee meets routinely to evaluate policies and improvements.
